A warm, pale sandy tone corresponding to Federal Standard 33531 — the IAF Sand colour that formed one of the three upper surface tones in the Israeli Air Force standard desert camouflage scheme from 1967 through to the 2020s. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC898 covers IAF aircraft subjects across more than five decades of service, from the immediate aftermath of the Six Day War through to late-service F-16I and F-15I airframes.

RC898 Sand FS 33531 is matched to the IAF desert scheme Sand tone introduced after the 1967 Six Day War, where it paired with FS 30219 Dark Tan and FS 34227 Green on upper surfaces over FS 35622 Light Blue undersides. This original three-tone scheme remained standard for IAF tactical aircraft and helicopters into the early 1980s. With F-16 delivery from 1980, the scheme was revised — FS 34227 Green replaced by RAF Sky (FS 34424) — but FS 33531 Sand was retained, continuing in IAF use through to the 2020s on F-16I and F-15I airframes. RC898 is therefore correct for early three-tone IAF desert scheme 1967–early 1980s including the Mirage IIICJ, Nesher, F-4E Phantom II, A-4H/N Skyhawk, Ouragan, Mystère IVA, Super Mystère B.2, Vautour IIN, Fouga Magister, and Do 27/Do 28; transitional and late IAF desert schemes on the Kfir C2 and C7; and revised four-tone IAF desert scheme 1980s–2020s on the F-16A/B/C/D/I Netz/Sufa and F-15I Ra'am.
