Description
AKIRC887 - AK Interactive Real Colors NATO Brown 17 ml.
A mildly reddish brown corresponding to CARC Brown 383 (FS 30051) — one of the two disruptive colours of the NATO standardised three-colour camouflage scheme adopted by the United States, Germany, France, and other NATO allies from 1984. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC887 pairs with RC886 NATO Green and RC888 NATO Black to complete the full NATO three-colour scheme used on US Army and allied AFVs in temperate environments.
For US vehicles, the NATO three-colour scheme consisted of a base of CARC Green 383 FS 34094, with a disruptive pattern of CARC Brown 383 FS 30051 — a mildly reddish brown — and CARC Black FS 37030. The NATO three-colour scheme remains to this day the standard camouflage pattern for all US AFVs operating in non-desert environments. The NATO scheme was adopted with minor variations by the US, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and other NATO members. France used a somewhat lighter brown on some occasions, but the pattern was broadly standardised across participating nations. It is used as the disruptive brown tone across all US Army and NATO temperate-environment AFV subjects from 1984 onward, covering the M1 Abrams (all variants in NATO scheme), M2/M3 Bradley, M60A3, M113, M88 ARV, M109A2/A6 Paladin, M270 MLRS, HMMWV, and all associated US Army wheeled and soft-skin transport deployed in Central Europe during the Cold War and in post-Cold War Balkans operations. It is also used in the equivalent German RAL and French national palette three-colour schemes on Leopard 2, AMX-30B2, Leclerc, Marder, and associated NATO AFVs.
