Description
AKIRC884 - AK Interactive Real Colors Olive Drab Faded 17 ml.
A lighter, more yellow-olive tone corresponding to a faded variant of US Army Olive Drab No.9/No.22 — representing either the appearance of weathered and sun-bleached WWII-era vehicles in the field, or the standard US Army vehicle colour of the 1980s and early 1990s as used on the M1 Abrams, Bradley IFV, and HMMWV. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC884 is included in AK's own WWII US Army Basic Colors Set alongside RC883 Olive Drab No.9/No.22, and covers both WWII weathered subjects and Cold War-era US Army vehicles.
RC884 Olive Drab Faded is a faded variant of No.9/No.22 Olive Drab. It faithfully reproduces the faded olive green used on American military vehicles, particularly in US Army camouflage schemes from the 1980s and 1990s, and is essential for modellers wanting to accurately represent vehicles such as the M1 Abrams, HMMWV, and Bradley IFV. AK includes it alongside Olive Drab No.9/No.22, Earth Yellow No.6, and Flat Black as one of the four colours essential for painting models of US Army vehicles used during WWII. It is therefore correct for sun-bleached or heavily worn WWII US Army subjects — particularly vehicles depicted after prolonged campaigns in the Mediterranean, Pacific, or North African theatres — as well as late Cold War and Gulf War era US Army subjects including the M1A1 Abrams, M2/M3 Bradley, M113, HMMWV, M109 Paladin, M270 MLRS, and all associated US Army wheeled and tracked vehicles of the 1980s to early 1990s.
