Description

AKIRC882 - AK Interactive Real Colors IDF Modern Grey 17 ml.

A neutral grey-green corresponding to IDF Modern Grey — the current standard vehicle colour of the Israeli Defence Forces, introduced in May 1981 and used on all IDF armoured vehicles and military equipment from that date to the present day. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC882 is the essential colour for all contemporary and late Cold War-era IDF armour subjects.

IDF Modern Grey is the currently used paint introduced in May 1981, replacing the earlier Sand Grey which had been adopted after the 1973 Yom Kippur War for vehicles deployed on the northern frontiers. Distinctly more neutral and greyed than either RC880 Early Sand Yellow or RC881 Sand Grey, it is the correct overall colour for the full span of IDF service from 1981 to the present, covering the Merkava Mk 1, Mk 2, Mk 3, and Mk 4, M60A3, Magach 6/7, Centurion Sho't Kal Dalet/Gimel (late use), M113 Zelda, Namer, Achzarit, Puma CEV, D9 Doobi bulldozer, M109 artillery, MLRS, all IDF wheeled transport including the RBY Mk 1, RAM, Wolf, and Humvee variants across operations in Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank from 1982 onward. It is also correct for the 1982 First Lebanon War (Operation Peace for Galilee), the 2006 Second Lebanon War, and all subsequent Israeli operations through to the present.
