Description
AKIRC879 - AK Interactive Real Colors Russian Grey Green 17 ml.
A muted, greyed olive-khaki corresponding to the grey-green disruptive tone used in modern Russian and post-Soviet AFV camouflage schemes — one of the four standard colours of the contemporary Russian military vehicle palette. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC879 sits tonally between the brighter Russian Modern Green (RC877) and the sandy Russian Greyish Yellow (RC878), serving as a mid-tone disruptive element in the stripe and angular camouflage patterns applied to Russian and post-Soviet armoured vehicles.
RC879 Russian Grey Green is one of the four colours most commonly applied to vehicles of the Russian Army and the armed forces of many post-Soviet states, and can also be useful for painting military vehicles of the last years of the USSR. The Soviet late Cold War camouflage manual specified stripe-pattern schemes using a blue-grey colour as one of the disruptive tones alongside green and yellow, and this pattern type was formally documented in the 1977 manual and revised in 1988 — this grey-green variant appeared in one of the scheme options replacing the blue-grey. RC879 is the third stripe colour for late Soviet and modern Russian AFV subjects in three-colour disruptive schemes, covering the T-72B, T-72B3, T-80B/BV/U, T-90, T-14 Armata, BMP-1, BMP-2, BMP-3, BTR-80, BTR-82, 2S19 Msta-S, Tunguska, Pantsir-S1, and all associated Russian and post-Soviet wheeled and tracked vehicles and artillery systems. It is equally applicable to export operators and post-Soviet successor states using Russian equipment and colour standards.
