A soft, distinctive powder blue formulated to replicate the iconic Gulf Oil livery blue — the essential companion colour to Gulf Orange (RC839) and one half of the most celebrated motorsport colour scheme ever devised. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Civil range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC844 Gulf Blue is the correct shade for the complete Gulf livery across all its iconic subjects.

The Gulf powder blue and orange scheme appeared on some of the greatest race cars ever built. Its primary subjects include the Ford GT40 in Gulf specification — most famously chassis P/1075, driven by Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver to victory at the 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the earlier Gulf GT40s of the 1968 season driven by Pedro Rodríguez and Lucien Bianchi. The scheme then transferred to the Porsche 917K for the dominant 1970–71 World Sportscar Championship seasons, driven by Jo Siffert, Brian Redman, Pedro Rodríguez, and Jackie Oliver — the cars immortalised in Steve McQueen's 1971 film Le Mans. The Gulf blue also appeared on the Porsche 917/10 and 917/30 Can-Am cars, the Porsche 956 and 962 in Gulf privateer livery, the McLaren F1 GTR at Le Mans in 1995 and 1997, and on Gulf-liveried Aston Martin DBR9 and Vantage GTE cars from the 2000s onward.
