A specifically formulated deep black developed to accurately replicate the iconic John Player Special (JPS) livery black — one of the most celebrated and instantly recognisable colour schemes in motorsport history. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Civil range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC828 is tuned for the precise, deep black bodywork finish of the JPS Lotus Formula 1 cars rather than being a generic flat black.

The black and gold JPS livery debuted on the Lotus 72 in 1972 and defined Team Lotus for an era that spanned some of the most celebrated F1 machinery ever built. RC828 is the correct black for the following iconic JPS Lotus F1 cars: the Lotus 72D (Emerson Fittipaldi, 1972 World Champion), the Lotus 76, 77, 78, and 79 (Mario Andretti, 1978 World Champion), the Lotus 80, 81, 87, 88, 91, and 92 (Elio de Angelis), and the Lotus 95T, 97T, and 98T (Ayrton Senna, 1985–1986). The JPS livery also extended beyond F1 — it appeared on Norton Commando motorcycles, a limited edition Ford Capri in 1975, and BMW 635CSi and M3 touring cars in Australian motorsport.
