A transparent, candy-green lacquer designed to be applied over metallic or light base coats to create vivid, luminous tinted effects. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Standard range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC823 Clear Green carries over from the original RC505 in the previous 10ml glass bottle range.

Clear Green is used wherever a translucent green is needed to replicate the optical properties of coloured glass, lenses, or tinted surfaces. Its primary uses include green navigation and position lights on aircraft including the B-17 Flying Fortress, Lancaster, Avro Lincoln, de Havilland Mosquito, and Douglas C-47 Dakota — where green starboard wingtip lights are a standard modelling requirement. Applied over silver or aluminium, it also creates the correct appearance of green instrument panel backlighting and warning lights on AFV interiors and aircraft cockpit consoles across WWII and modern subjects. Additionally, it is used for green tinted glazing and visor effects on figures and diorama elements, and for candy green finishes over chrome or aluminium on automotive and motorcycle subjects. Thin coats allow full control of colour depth and saturation.
