A flat, non-specular aluminium that accurately replicates the appearance of natural bare metal surfaces — one of the most versatile metallic colours in scale modelling. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Standard range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC820 Aluminium carries over directly from the original RC020 in the previous 10ml glass bottle range.

Aluminium is an essential colour across virtually every scale modelling discipline. On WWII aircraft, it is the correct base colour for natural metal finish (NMF) subjects including the late-war P-51D Mustang, P-47D Thunderbolt, B-29 Superfortress, F6F Hellcat, and Mitsubishi A6M Zero (late production). On AFVs, it covers exposed bare metal areas, cast aluminium engine components, and worn paint edges on vehicles including the M4 Sherman, M10 Wolverine, and various US half-tracks. On aircraft interiors, it is used for cockpit framing, instrument panel surrounds, and structural members across a broad range of Allied and Axis subjects. It also serves as an excellent chipping and wear effect colour applied over paint layers to simulate bare metal showing through, and as a mixing metallic for adjusting silver tones throughout the Real Colors range.
