A warm, mid-tone sandy beige that sits between khaki and desert yellow — one of the most versatile utility colours in scale modelling and a close match to Tamiya XF-57 Buff and RAF Hemp (BS4800/10B21). Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Standard range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC815 delivers smooth, opaque coverage with a flat finish straight from the airbrush.

Buff is a heavily used colour across multiple modelling disciplines. It is the correct base colour for US Army WWII desert camouflage as applied to the M3 Stuart, M4 Sherman (North Africa), M3 Half-track, and M8 Greyhound in the North African theatre. It also serves as the standard colour for canvas equipment, webbing, sandbags, and tarpaulins on virtually any nationality's WWII AFV or diorama. In the RAF Hemp scheme, it matches the Nimrod MR.2, VC10 K.2, and Victor K.2 upper surface colour. It is also widely used as a post-shading and dust streaking highlight over sand and earth camouflage bases on desert subjects.
