Description
AKIRC814 - AK Interactive Real Colors Yellow RAL 1003 17 ml.
A bright, clean signal yellow referenced to RAL 1003 — noticeably more vivid and less orange than the deeper RAL 1006 Maize Yellow, and the standard high-visibility yellow in the RAL system. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Standard range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC814 delivers bold, opaque coverage with a flat finish straight from the airbrush.
RAL 1003 Signal Yellow has specific documented uses across several modelling subjects. It is the correct colour for Japanese Army tank identification bands (1937–1942) , as seen on the Type 89 Medium Tank, Type 97 Chi-Ha, Type 94 Tankette, and Type 97 Te-Ke. It is also used for Kriegsmarine signal equipment and deck markings on WWII German naval vessels including the Bismarck, Tirpitz, and Type VII U-boats. In civilian modelling, it is the correct colour for Polish Railways (PKP) locomotives from the late 1980s through the 1990s.
