RAL 2004 Pure Orange appears on several specific modelling subjects. It is used on Bundeswehr and NATO safety and warning markings on vehicles including the Leopard 2 ARV Büffel (Bergepanzer 3), M88 Hercules ARV, and various bridgelaying vehicles where high-visibility crane and winch equipment is painted orange. It is also the correct colour for Royal Navy and German Navy SAR Sea King helicopters (Westland Sea King HAR.3, HU.5, and Mk.41), which carried distinctive orange panels and SAR markings.
